We are seeking a full-time Associate to handle construction litigation matters, particularly in our presuit and insurance litigation unit. This associate would work alongside other senior attorneys and staff to help navigate cases from pre-suit claims through trial and arbitration, while developing the skills to manage their own caseload.

While headquartered in Winter Garden, Florida we provide the technology and support for our attorneys to work remotely, based on experience, if they desire.

Responsibilities

 

• Spearheading fact investigation of claims, including document review, site inspections and working directly with our clients and experts.
• Navigating insurance claims, insurance documents, and information requests from insurance carriers.
• Negotiating settlements and attending mediations.
• Drafting substantive pleadings and motions.
• Attending trial and arbitrations as necessary.

Qualifications

 

• Licensed to practice law in Florida and a member in good standing with Florida Bar.
• 0 – 3 years of previous legal experience, preferably in litigation.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have the disposition, drive, and dedication to produce high quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• No book of business is necessary.
